About Eddy
I studied International Management and German at the University of Bath and I lived in Germany for a year where I worked at BMW; both of which have put a strong emphasis on my 'business german' as well as familiarity with the colloquialisms frequently used by my peers (mostly other young professionals).
Having reflected on how I was taught german at school and university, there are many varied approaches which I now incorporate to effectively engage with teaching german.
I have a structured approach with an informal flow and I look to tailor accompanying learning material to interests of the student.
This learning material (which I attach with a vocab list to ensure quicker understanding of the material) will then form the basis of the next lesson. This material can range from articles, podcasts, music and films.

Despite not being an expert on the Ukulele, Eddy was honest and upfront about everything he did know and informative about the next steps that would be beneficial in future learning. Eddy taught by example and his patience & understanding helped me feel comfortable to not be perfect in practicing.
Eddy taught me German for 2 years from complete beginner level to an intermediate conversational level where I feel comfortable conversing in German. He was very good at explaining me how the grammar works and testing me on my vocabulary. I had only learned French and Spanish beforehand so had very little understanding of Germanic languages. In Eddy's classes, no question is a stupid question - I had plenty! I found that the oral side of German needed more practice than writing and reading so Eddy tailored his tuition to my needs.
Eddy taught me German for a year. He was knowledgable, patient, and encouraged me to challenge myself.
