About Dawn
I am an American, born in Illinois, but I spent a lot of my childhood overseas in South Korea, where I attended school with USA military children on the army base. My home was outside the army base and I had many wonderful interactions with Korean children and their families. I also spent 16 years in India, as an administrative assistant at a new college. Learning and studying is an important part of our lives, and my experience in Asia is an additional experience that qualifies me to teach English because I have experience with Asian culture and families. I fully understand the deep care Asian families have for their children, whom they want to be educated and established in the best life possible. I would consider it an honor to be a tool in their hands, to help their children in their ENGLISH LEARNING JOURNEY.

Since English is a very complicated language, my approach is to mostly speak English with the students as they build their knowledge and vocabulary. Just as little children automatically learn the language of their parents and family around them, learning English can be simplified by conversations, reading of stories, songs and playing games. This method circumvents the stress. Once students get a beginning knowledge of English, then I can help them understand sentence structure and grammar by class corrections and guidance.
