About Otis
With 3 years of teaching experience, I specialize in guiding students through ABRSM, Rockschool, and university-level piano programs. I hold a Licentiate of Music in Piano (LMusA equivalent), and I’m passionate about helping students reach their full musical potential. Whether you're working toward a graded exam or aiming to refine advanced technique, I offer structured and encouraging support every step of the way. My teaching blends strong technical foundations with musical creativity. I focus on building confident sight reading, expressive interpretation, and solid understanding of music theory. I believe each student has their own musical voice, and I work to nurture that through personalized instruction. From classical repertoire to modern styles, I help students grow both artistically and academically. I use a variety of tools, including hands-on exercises and listening practice, to make learning effective and enjoyable. Lessons are always adapted to your pace, goals, and interests. Virtual piano apps and metronomes are part of my teaching to build timing, consistency, and engagement during practice.
