About Claire

With 12 years of tutoring experience and a MSc in Operations Research, I specialize in financial mathematics and its practical applications. My lessons focus on interest rates, investment planning, and managing financial risks. I use a case-study approach to make concepts clear and relatable. Real-world data allows students to see mathematics in action. I encourage learners to build problem-solving skills through guided practice. Visual tools such as graphs and charts support understanding. I also integrate financial modeling exercises to test “what if” scenarios. Each session is designed to combine clarity, depth, and confidence-building. I support learners at every step, from core concepts to exam preparation. Many students find that my structured approach helps remove confusion. Mathematics becomes less abstract and more engaging. Let’s uncover how math powers finance together.

My method of teaching mathematics emphasizes structure and application. Algebra forms the base, where I teach equations, graphs, and problem-solving strategies. Calculus follows, with clear steps into differentiation and integration. Geometry helps students develop logical proofs and reasoning ability. Probability and statistics add real-world applications, teaching learners to interpret data and predict outcomes. Lessons are designed to progress in a clear order, so students always know what comes next. I encourage consistent practice to reinforce learning. Tailored support is offered for Future Actuaries and Problem Solvers who need precise skills. Each lesson balances theory and practice. Feedback is used to motivate learners and guide progress. My goal is to create independent problem-solvers. With this approach, mathematics becomes both accessible and enjoyable.
