About Jessica
Hello! My name is Jessica, and I’m passionate about helping young learners discover the excitement of science. With 18 years of teaching experience in elementary education, I’ve had the privilege of guiding countless students through their learning journeys—helping them build confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love for exploring the world around them. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how children learn best. I believe that every student is capable of success when given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to think critically. My lessons are engaging, hands-on, and designed to make science meaningful and fun. Whether we’re exploring the life cycle of a butterfly, the mysteries of outer space, or the basics of energy and motion, I aim to spark wonder and inspire lifelong learners. A Typical Lesson Plan: Warm-Up/Review (5–10 min): A quick review of previous concepts or a fun science question to spark curiosity. Introduction of New Concept (10–15 min): Presenting the topic through visuals, stories, or short videos. Hands-On Exploration (15–20 min): Interactive activities, simple experiments, or guided practice that allows students to apply what they’ve learned. Discussion and Reflection (10 min): Students explain their observations, make predictions, and connect ideas to real-life examples. Wrap-Up and Next Steps (5 min): Summarize key points and preview what we’ll learn next time. Each lesson is flexible and paced according to the student’s needs and attention span.
