About Nella
I am a passionate guitar tutor with over 11 years of experience teaching students both in-person and online. I hold a degree in Music with a focus on guitar performance and pedagogy. My teaching philosophy centers on helping students play expressively while building strong technical fluency. I believe every student is unique, so I design lessons tailored to individual goals and learning styles. My lessons incorporate music theory, fretboard fluency, rhythmic precision, and creative exploration. I work with students across all levels, from Beginners to Advanced, and even Professional or Expert players. I emphasize not only skill development but also nurturing a lifelong passion for music. Whether mastering chords, scales, fingerstyle, or improvisation, I ensure every session is engaging and rewarding. I focus on building confidence, performance readiness, and a deep understanding of the guitar. Students benefit from structured exercises, personalized guidance, and encouragement to explore their own musical voice. My ultimate goal is to make learning guitar both enjoyable and meaningful. My teaching approach focuses on helping every student play guitar with confidence and joy. I guide learners from basic chords to advanced techniques across classical, jazz, electric, bass, and acoustic styles. Lessons include body posture, finger independence, and hand coordination to ensure smooth and effortless playing. I also focus on mental preparation, helping students stay calm and confident before auditions or recitals.
I encourage students to explore their own style while mastering essential techniques. Fingerstyle enthusiasts and those with a bold, creative approach will find lessons tailored to their strengths. I use structured exercises, fun practice routines, and real songs to make learning practical and exciting. Stage readiness, including performance tips and overcoming nervousness, is an important part of my methodology.
I give regular feedback and track progress carefully, ensuring students see real improvement. Creativity, consistency, and enjoyment are at the heart of every session. My goal is not only skill development but also helping students develop a lifelong passion for guitar.
