About Corbin
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience helping students of all abilities discover the joy of music. Holding a **Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar)**, I combine a strong musical foundation with training in music therapy and special education principles. My approach is adaptive and student-centered, focusing on each learner’s unique strengths rather than their challenges. I have worked extensively with students navigating ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety, creating lessons that are accessible, structured, and stress-free. By breaking concepts into manageable steps and using creative, hands-on strategies, I help students stay engaged and motivated. I believe in building confidence through small, meaningful achievements, so every student feels proud of their progress. My teaching approach is designed to make learning guitar enjoyable, structured, and meaningful. I also guide learners in mental preparation, which is essential for confident performances and a calm mindset before auditions or recitals.
Every student has their own style, and I help them refine it—whether they’re drawn to smooth fingerstyle melodies or powerful, energetic riffs. I introduce exercises that improve coordination, hand strength, and timing, ensuring steady progress without overwhelming them. We also work on stage readiness, from handling performance nerves to presenting themselves with confidence.
