About Siena
I’m a piano tutor with over 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music. My passion lies in helping students connect creativity with technique. I specialise in pop piano arranging, chord voicing development, and learning to play by ear. Lessons are dynamic, engaging, and always tailored to your interests. I guide students through modern music-making while building solid foundations in rhythm and harmony. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player working towards mastery, I meet you where you are. I’ve taught styles ranging from pop and R&B to rock and contemporary worship. Each lesson focuses on real-world skills like performance confidence, song arranging, and musical interpretation. I use a supportive teaching style that keeps motivation high. You’ll learn to understand music on a deeper level and perform with personality. My teaching approach focuses on helping pianists read and play music fluently. I believe that strong sight-reading builds independence and creativity. Lessons emphasise quick pattern recognition, accurate rhythm, and confident playing. Students learn to identify intervals and read notes in groups rather than individually. I guide them through speed reading exercises that improve reaction time. We also develop rhythmic accuracy through steady pulse work and clapping exercises. Every activity strengthens the visual-to-finger coordination needed for effortless playing. I take a calm, structured, and supportive approach to teaching. My lessons are equally rewarding for The Child Prodigy and The Hobbyist Adult. I encourage consistency and small daily improvements. Each session brings new progress in confidence and control. I help students overcome hesitation when reading unfamiliar music. With time, you’ll be able to sight-read any piece smoothly and musically.
