About Fia
With over 9 years of experience teaching Spanish and a BA in Spanish for Healthcare Professions, I’ve developed a strong passion for purposeful, real-world language learning. I specialize in working with aspiring foreign correspondents, journalists, and media professionals who want to strengthen their Spanish for dynamic, global storytelling. My lessons focus on media-specific vocabulary, ethical communication strategies, and navigating live interviews or press conferences with fluency and confidence. We explore current events and build language skills through real-time news analysis and mock reporting sessions. I design flexible lessons that adapt to what’s happening in the world, helping students stay informed while practicing active Spanish usage. Cultural sensitivity and respectful language for diverse audiences are key parts of my teaching approach.
