About Linly Rose
My name is Linly Rose, and for over 15 years, I have dedicated myself to teaching mathematics from preschool to high school, as well as teaching reading to young learners. I hold a Master's degree in High School Mathematics, and my extensive classroom and one-on-one tutoring experience have given me a deep understanding of how students learn best — step by step, at their own pace, with constant encouragement. My teaching method is simple but effective: I break every concept into small, manageable pieces, and after each step, I pause and ask, "Do you understand?" I never move forward until my student says yes, and I always ask them to explain the idea back to me in their own words. This approach ensures that no child is left behind, and it builds genuine confidence from the ground up. Whether I am teaching addition to a preschooler, algebra to a high school student, or phonics to an early reader, I bring the same level of patience, preparation, and professionalism to every session. My lessons are structured, goal-oriented, and tailored to each learner's unique needs — including those with learning difficulties such as dyscalculia or reading delays. My name is Linly Rose, and my approach as a tutor is built on a simple but powerful step-by-step method — I break every concept into small, logical pieces, and after each step I pause to ask, "Do you understand?" I never move forward until the learner says yes, and I often ask them to explain the idea back to me in their own words. For mathematics, I start with concrete, hands-on examples for young children and gradually move to abstract thinking for high school students, always guided by my 15 years of teaching experience and my Master's degree in High School Mathematics. I can also teach reading for kids — using phonics, sight words, fluency practice, and comprehension strategies — all delivered with the same patient, step-by-step approach. A typical 60-minute lesson begins with a quick warm-up, then I introduce a new concept in 2–3 small steps with frequent checks for understanding, followed by guided practice, independent work, a gentle review of mistakes, and a simple take-home task. What sets me apart is that I teach both math (preschool to high school) and reading (for young learners) across all levels, and I adapt to each student's pace, including those with learning difficulties like dyscalculia or reading delays. My lessons are for preschoolers and grade schoolers learning early math and reading, as well as junior high and high school students tackling algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and test preparation. Most of all, I build confidence first, because when a student finally says, "I understand," that's when real learning begins.
