About Izzy
Hello! I amIzzy. I have a Bachelor's in Ecological Design and Soil Science with a Permaculture Design Certification. I have spent two years living, studying, and working on a regenerative farm on the east coast. This hands-on experience has given me a deep understanding of sustainable and regenerative practices.
I have experience tutoring ecology -base classes, using interactive and engaging methods to make learning fun and memorable. My sessions include hands-on activities, virtual field trips, and real-life applications to ensure concepts are easily understood and retained.

In my ecology tutoring sessions, I prioritize making learning interactive and fun, ensuring that knowledge is not only gained but also retained.
How I achieve that :

I use dynamic slides and short demos to keep students engaged. This visual and auditory stimulation helps reinforce key concepts, making them easier to remember.
2. Virtual Field Trips: To bring real-world ecology into the virtual classroom, I use virtual tours and videos of natural sites. This immersive experience allows students to explore ecosystems up close, making the information more relatable and easier to recall.
3. Gamified Learning: I incorporate game elements such as quizzes, interactive diagrams, and review games. These fun elements motivate students and make learning feel like play, enhancing retention.
4. Personalized Feedback: I provide personalized feedback and support, tailoring my approach to each students needs. This helps reinforce learning points and addresses any areas of confusion, ensuring concepts are fully understood.
5. Discussion and Debate: I encourage open discussions and debates on ecological topics . This not only helps students articulate their understanding but also deepens their knowledge through critical thinking ad exposure to diverse perspectives.
6. Real-Life Applications. I connect lessons to real-life applications, such as sustainable practices and food forests. When students see how ecology impacts their everyday lives and the environment, the information becomes more meaningful and sticks within their minds.
My lessons can be catered to anywhere from kindergarten to high school age depending on the class and specificity.
