About Shane
I'm Shane, a professional pianist, composer, and educator based in Los Angeles. With over 14 years of experience performing, recording, and teaching, I’ve had the pleasure of working across genres—from classical and jazz to film scores and contemporary music. My work has appeared on major networks like Lifetime, and I regularly collaborate with studios, artists, and composers in the LA area. But beyond credentials, what really drives me is helping people connect with music in a meaningful way. I specialize in teaching adults—whether you're just beginning or picking things back up after years away. My teaching style is supportive, clear, and always tailored to your goals. I believe learning piano should feel inspiring, not intimidating. Whether you're aiming to play your favorite pieces, write your own music, or simply enjoy the creative outlet, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.

Whether you're a complete beginner or returning to the piano after a long break, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are. I focus on helping adult students build real confidence at the keyboard by combining solid technique with a deep understanding of music—without the pressure of a traditional conservatory setting.
We'll tailor each lesson to your interests, whether that means reading sheet music, playing by ear, exploring your favorite genres, or learning how to improvise or compose. I make sure the learning process is enjoyable, structured, and empowering. You’ll walk away from every session with clear progress and a deeper connection to the music you love.
Lessons are available in-person or online, and I’m happy to create a custom plan that fits your goals and schedule.
