About Santiago
Santiago was born in Medellin, Colombia. He started his music studies when he was 14 years old. He took music lessons at the Red de Escuelas of Medellin in Cello, music theory, Orchestra, and Choir. In 2008 he started his Bachelor's degree in Music on classical voice, harmony, counterpoint, musical analysis, and piano. He has performed in academic and artistic performances with University of Bellas Artes, University of Antioquia, and Prolirica Foundation of Antioquia. He has sung as a tenor soloist in the creation of Haydn. He also performed in Dido and Aeneas singing the mariner role which had the premiere at Teatro Pablo Tobón Uribe in 2009. He performed as a soloist and choir member in the 20th season of Schola Cantorum of Hudson in New Jersey and New York singing the piece Pieta from the American composer John Muehleisen. Santiago has been performing in New York with his band Tinto Frio which brings Latin and classical music together. Visit our website (concealed information)

The first step I take when meeting a new student is learning about their history and experience with music. Then, during the first lesson we will play a few simple tunes and do some improv. Gradually, we will dig deeper into the world of music and explore its basic elements.
