About Eva
Hello! My name is Yeva. I have been fully bilingual since the age of three, giving me native fluency in both English and Russian. Having grown up and gone to school in the United States for the past 11 years, I combine complete American cultural fluency with a deep understanding of bilingual learning patterns.
I have always been passionate about education. My first professional job was working as an instructor at Kumon, where I successfully taught students both English and math. This role trained me to carefully assess each student's unique starting point, break down complex concepts, and remain highly patient and flexible with individual learning speeds.
My lessons are designed specifically for newcomers who need to learn practical English for real life in America. We completely skip boring grammar drills and focus strictly on conversational survival skills. Using a visual, situational approach, we practice real-world scenarios—like navigating local stores, filling out official forms, and casual conversation—so you can quickly build the confidence to navigate daily life on your own.

My lessons are designed specifically for Russian-speaking newcomers who need to learn English for real life in America. We completely skip boring grammar drills and focus entirely on practical, conversational survival skills.
My Teaching MethodI use a visual, situational approach. We use real-world objects, pictures, and everyday scenarios so you can understand and speak English immediately, even if you are an absolute beginner.
A Typical Lesson Plan
*Every 60-minute class is built around a practical daily milestone:
*First 15 minutes: Warm-up conversation and reviewing everyday vocabulary.
*Next 30 minutes: Practicing a real scenario (e.g., ordering food, navigating a grocery store, filling out a DMV or doctor's form).
Last 15 minutes: Interactive dialogue practice so you build the confidence to speak to Americans on your own.

To keep travel logistics simple, I use standard flat rates when driving out to your location:
0 to 10 miles away: +$5 per lesson
11 to 20 miles away: +$15 per lesson
21 to 30 miles away: +$25 per lesson
To maximize your progress and get the full value out of our time, lessons within the 21–30 mile zone are arranged in 2-hour blocks. This gives us plenty of immersive time to practice real-world conversation. Please give me a quick heads-up on the best parking option at your location before I arrive.
