About Talya
Hello, I'm Talya. I am a web development lecturer with a degree in Digital Design and an Honors degree in User Experience Design. I have over five years of teaching experience, from lectures and workshops to private tutoring, and have been helping students long before that. Teaching has always been a passion of mine—even as a student, I enjoyed supporting and guiding others in their learning. That early enthusiasm has grown into a career where I combine my love for technology with my commitment to education. I take pride in making coding approachable and enjoyable, and I genuinely care about seeing my students succeed. With me, you can be assured of a tutor who is not only knowledgeable but also dedicated, patient, and invested in your growth.

As a tutor in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I focus on making coding approachable, practical, and enjoyable for learners of all ages. My methodology is centered on hands-on learning: students don’t just read about code, they write it, test it, and see their creations come to life in real time. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s pace, goals, and learning style—whether that’s building confidence in the basics or tackling advanced concepts for projects and careers.
What makes me unique as a tutor is my ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, everyday examples while encouraging creativity. Instead of treating coding as rigid theory, I show students how to use it as a tool for problem-solving and self-expression.
Each lesson balances:
Concept exploration (learning the “why”)
Practical exercises (applying the “how”)
Mini-projects (to reinforce skills and build confidence)
By the end of a typical session, students walk away with something tangible—such as a styled section of a webpage, an interactive button, or a piece of code that solves a problem.
My lessons are aimed at:
Absolute beginners who are starting their coding journey.
Students in school or university who need extra guidance or project support.
Adult learners looking to upskill, switch careers, or simply learn coding as a hobby.
No matter your age, experience or background, I make sure lessons are engaging, supportive, and goal-oriented.
