About Alanna
I am a second year engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I myself have had my fair share of struggles in school that I had to conquer in order to get to my current point in my education. I understand the importance of tutoring and how not all brains work or understand the same. I am willing to put in the effort to find the teaching style that works best for you!
I have had experience tutoring both in and outside of school and have worked with all ages and abilities, all with great success.

I like to meet the student where they are at and work from there. I teach best by working through problems together and preparing for upcoming tests or assessments.
I am also open to teaching extra practice over the summer to get caught up or have a greater understanding for the upcoming school year.
I would typically start by determining where the struggles or areas of weakness are and working on them first, before developing other skills and techniques.
I have experience tutoring for a wide variety of students and types of learners and have had great success with all.
