About Zac

I am entering my third year studying Mathematics at the University of Warwick, with particular interests in Modelling and Abstract Algebra.

I have a very strong academic background in Mathematics, achieving an average of 91.7% in my second year, placing me 4th out of 412 students in my cohort. I also achieved an average of 89.9% in my first year. At A-level, I achieved A*A*A*A* in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

I have accumulated over 1,500 hours of tutoring experience, working with students of a wide range of ages and abilities. My students have gone on to achieve A*s in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics, with some progressing to top universities including the University of Oxford, Imperial College London and LSE. I particularly enjoy adapting my teaching to each student, whether they need help building confidence, understanding challenging topics, or preparing for important exams.

Outside of academics, I am a lifelong Chelsea FC fan and enjoy following football. I also compete as a cross-country athlete for the University of Warwick.

About the lesson

I’m here to help with all your maths needs, whether that’s one-off homework help, regular lessons, or preparation for upcoming exams. I genuinely love tutoring and teaching, and I’m always happy to help students build their confidence, understand difficult topics, and make real progress.

I recommend one or two lessons per week for consistent progress, although I’m happy to adapt this depending on your goals and needs. Please let me know your current level before the first lesson so I can make sure the sessions are tailored to you.

There are no stupid questions, and I’m more than happy to explain something multiple times or approach it in a different way. What matters most is that you understand the material and leave each lesson feeling more confident.

I can be flexible with timings, but I’m generally available on weekday evenings and during the day at weekends.

Perfect! Great lesson, Zac broke down the difficult questions that I was struggling on into smaller steps that all made sense. I was then able to solve a similar question using the steps he had taught me.

I want to thank my tutor Zac. From the very first lesson, it was evident that Zac is very passionate about maths that is nicely contagious to me. His patience helps me a lot in our sessions – I am an older tutee, without any requirements to learn for a specific exam but for my personal ability/ life and Zac sees what I can do and what not. Whilst he breaks down a math problem into manageable steps for me making the learning process enjoyable and engaging he also gives me challenges when he notices 'm ready and offers support where I am lost. He creates an environment where I feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. He gives me great encouragement after doing exercises right, which boosts my confidence in maths.
