About Katie

I absolutely love talking about books, poems and literature in general (massive nerd I know!!).

I love hearing about other people's thoughts on texts, and I enjoy helping students develop their own analytical skills so that they can unlock the deeper- and often more interesting- narratives and themes.

I am very prepared and reliable, and I will genuinely care about your progression.

About the lesson

I tend to work holistically- the sessions are tailored to you. If there is a poem that you are struggling with we can work through it together; however, if accessing Macbeth is giving you difficulty, then we can focus on that.

Lessons tend to be 1 hour, and I mainly work for GCSE age students (years 9-11). This can be with students trying to secure a grade 4, or those who want an extra hand securing their grade 9.

I have tutored the AQA spec for 2 years- both English Literature and Language.

I can also help aspiring English BA students with their personal statement drafts.
