About Abi
I’ve been performing from a very young age and, like a lot of children, it all started with ballet and dance classes. After taking many dance and music exams, I joined a Saturday performing arts school, combining my love for dance, singing and acting. After several years of performing outside of school, I pursued a GCSE exam in music, which led to a BTEC in musical theatre and later, auditions at London Drama Schools where I achieved a BA (Hons) in musical theatre from ArtsEd. My time at Drama School was incredible, sweaty and totally exhausting, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. It led me to some brilliant jobs working with the most talented humans ever and I wouldn’t give up performing for anything. I have worked all over the UK in touring musicals, one off gigs and concerts. My fascination for the voice hasn’t ended after getting my degree and I have taken part in several Estill courses led by leading Estill master trainers and most recently the level 1 and 2 course which was fascinating and eye opening. You never stop learning when it comes to singing! After many years of performing and gaining experience in the Estill methods, I am delighted to offer 1-1 vocal sessions. I love being a vocal coach and passing on little golden nuggets of wisdom that I have been taught myself, and the joy of a career in Musical Theatre.

My ultimate goal is that you leave our lesson feeling motivated and confident! Every lesson is different and I tailor my approach according to how you best learn and what you need from me that day. I believe that singing should be as free and easy as possible and that is why I base my teaching on the Estill voice model. Anyone can sing! I have been teaching for over 5 years now and have always had brilliant students who give very kind feedback about our lessons together. I have a BA (Hons) in musical theatre from The Arts Educational Schools London and mainly teach musical theatre and pop repertoire. Though I can absolutely help with anything in relation to your voice...e.g maybe a speech you have to give. I love to teach absolute beginners and experienced professionals of all ages. I had a brilliant lesson with Abi! She makes you feel comfortable to explore different sounds and techniques. She has so many great tools and tips, explains everything so clearly and will tailor her approach to find the ones that click with you. I had such a fun and productive lesson!
Honestly, I can't recommend Abi enough. From the very start of the lesson, Abi created a safe space and made me feel really comfortable. As opposed to just throwing techniques at me (which has been my experience with previous teachers), Abi worked with me to provide relevant techniques specific to my voice and vocal understanding. It was clear to see Abi has been well trained and has a wealth of knowledge and passion for the voice. Can't wait for my next lesson!
