About Marin
I started classical violin at age 7 and also started studying music theory and composition when I was 15 years old. I learned piano, French horn, alto saxophone, and guitar for about 5 years as well. After having a heavily classical background for 11 years, I went to Berklee College of Music and studied jazz harmony, songwriting, music production, arranging, composition, and orchestration.

My teaching method is based on how the student learns and absorbs information the best. Most of the time I will incorporate the visual, auditory, and kinetic aspects as much as possible, but I will adjust the amount of each aspect based on what the student prefers. For example, I will explain a harmonic concept using the piano more often for auditory learners, while for students that learn more visually, I will show how the harmony works through analysis on sheet music.
