About Ashlyn
Graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Music provided the foundation for my 5 years of teaching. You will find that I prioritize the rigorous German violin tradition to build your technical command. My formal piano study also informs how I teach phrasing and musical structure to students.
I guide Suzuki beginners through shifting positions and complex scales with disciplined focus. Helping you prepare for competitive conservatory auditions remains my primary objective. Securing your place in a top program starts with the exact skills I provide.

Intonation often collapses under pressure. Precision is vital.
Diagnostic assessment before setting the practice plan ensures every minute of our time together remains productive. I evaluate your current repertoire and sight reading to pinpoint specific mechanical weaknesses.
These sessions emphasize left hand agility and consistent tone production during ABRSM or Trinity exam prep. We analyze music theory alongside your scales and arpeggios to build deep fluency. Correcting your posture early prevents long term tension during difficult passages. You gain the confidence needed to perform under intense scrutiny.
