About Lauren
With 5 years of teaching and work experience, I am a drum tutor who enjoys motivating students through rhythm, creativity, and steady improvement. Teaching students from school to college levels has helped me understand how to adjust my methods for different learning styles, goals, and personalities. A key milestone in my journey was helping a student prepare for their first solo performance. Their dedication and final success reminded me of the powerful impact music education can have. I have also led collaborative student projects where learners created rhythm compositions and performed as a group.
My teaching method is simple and structured. I focus on fundamentals—beat accuracy, stick technique, coordination, and timing—while also including fun challenges, creative exercises, and song-based practice. I believe learning should be clear, enjoyable, and full of encouragement. What motivates me most is seeing students grow, step by step, into confident musicians. I want every learner to feel supported, inspired, and excited to explore their musical abilities. Teaching drum gives me the chance to share my passion and help students discover their own rhythm in life.

My drum teaching methodology follows Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I aim to help students build rhythm, confidence, and musical understanding in a simple and enjoyable way. Motivation helps students stay focused. I set small goals, give positive feedback, and include fun activities like groove challenges and song-based learning. This keeps practice exciting and helps students feel proud of their progress. Communication is key. I explain everything clearly using simple English, demonstrate slowly, and break down patterns into easy steps.
I welcome questions and make sure students feel comfortable throughout the lesson. Integrity shapes the learning environment. I guide students with patience, offer honest and helpful feedback, and encourage discipline in practice. My lessons follow a clear structure that supports steady growth. Creativity adds life to drumming. I help students explore rhythms, develop their own style, improvise, and experiment with genres like rock, pop, funk, and jazz. Lessons also include theory basics, timing exercises, rhythm reading, and coordination drills. Besides Drums, I can teach rhythm development, percussion basics, tempo stability, and foundational music skills to help students become complete and confident musicians.
