About Minna
I have dedicated over 20 years to primary education. I currently teach at a primary school in the London Borough of Redbridge and have a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum across all core and foundation subjects.
In addition to my classroom teaching, I have significant experience delivering maths and English intervention and booster sessions for year 5 and year 6 pupils. This has helped raise both attainment and to prepare children for their SATs. I am an accomplished teacher of phonics and phonics screening preparation, particularly in the early years and Key Stage 1. I have a wealth of insight supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and understand the importance of adapting teaching approaches.
Alongside my school teaching, I have worked as a private tutor for several years which also includes supporting home learners. I regularly set homework using 'concrete', 'pictorial' and 'abstract' resources. I feel that if a child needs help, the primary school years are the best time to begin developing the right foundations.
One of the aspects of teaching I am most proud of, is the positive difference I have made to many children’s educational journeys over the years. I remain most grateful for my career in education...

My approach to teaching is centred around creating a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed. I believe that all children learn differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit each child’s abilities and learning style.
I aim to make lessons engaging, interactive and enjoyable. I place great importance on developing strong relationships with both pupils and parents. Good communication and teamwork between home and school are essential in helping children make the best possible progress. I also understand the pressures of family life and always try to be flexible, approachable and supportive.
Above all, I teach with kindness, patience, encouragement and always strive to make a meaningful and lasting difference in every child’s learning journey...

Special Educational Needs Tuition – £60 /h
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or will be charged at the full session rate.
An enhanced DBS check is carried out through my school every three years and can be provided upon request at the time of meeting.
I am based in Wanstead and offer tuition across the following areas: Wanstead, Woodford, Chigwell, Hainault, Clayhall, Barkingside, Newbury Park, Seven Kings and Goodmayes.
I also offer a free 30-minute introductory session, available online, at my home, at the student’s home or in a public library.
