About Laura
I have been teaching primary aged children (5-12years ) for over 30 years. I have been a headteacher of two schools and have been involved in development work for HMIe Since retiring I have tutored a pupil who was preparing for an entrance exam for a school abroad . I have an up to date PVA check and while teaching in school was registered with the GTC

I believe in lively interactive teaching allowing the pupil to learn for themselves. But I am also passionate about basic understanding . Lessons should be tailored so that pupils can achieve success and gain the necessary confidence to move to the next step . Planning is important as is setting achievable goals .
