About David
I love teaching history and look forward to engaging with online students who are keen to progress in the subject. I have been a tutor and head of Pastoral Care during my twenty years in teaching and have an excellent record of supporting students and building positive working relationships within a productive learning environment. I also mark A-Level for an exam board and am well aware of exactly what is required to be successful in GCSE and A-Level history.

My approach is question/discussion-based with a focus on being able to write concisely and focus on what the exam board is looking for. Various media would be utilised to enable you to engage with the material and progress with each lesson.
I have taught A-Level and GCSE for twenty years. My subject specialisms at A-Level include: American history, notably black American experiences and the struggle for equality; Britain 1900-2000; Irish history; Rise of Fascism. Lessons would typically be 50-60 mins. All GCSE topics catered for. I also have extensive experience of A-Level coursework.
