About Agnes
I am a passionate and hardworking saxophone tutor with 16 years of teaching experience and a record of training around 300 students successfully. I teach students from high school, college, and adult backgrounds. I enjoy helping students overcome fear and build confidence through music. My teaching philosophy is based on clear learning, steady improvement, and positive encouragement. I begin with strong basics such as breathing control, finger positioning, tone quality, rhythm, and posture. Once students gain control of these fundamentals, I introduce scale practice, exercises, songs, and performance skills. I prepare students for school programmes, college events, competitions, and practical music exams. Along with saxophone training, I teach basic music theory, timing exercises, sight reading, and simple improvisation. These skills help students become well-rounded musicians. Many of my students have performed confidently on stage and received positive feedback. Some have also achieved excellent exam results. I create a friendly and disciplined learning environment where students feel motivated to improve. My goal is to guide every student towards confidence and musical growth.

My saxophone teaching style is guided by Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I create a supportive and positive learning atmosphere where students feel confident to explore music. Lessons are designed based on the student’s level, learning speed, and personal interest. Motivation helps students stay focused and enjoy regular practice. I encourage progress through simple goals and performance activities. With clear communication, I teach breathing, embouchure, tone control, scales, rhythm, articulation, reading music, and phrasing in a step-by-step way. Integrity means being honest, disciplined, and committed to quality learning. I give sincere feedback and guide students patiently. Creativity is developed through improvisation, rhythm games, style-based learning, and fun musical challenges. Along with saxophone training, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm development, and stage performance skills. Students also learn how to practise smartly at home. My aim is to develop skilled, expressive, and confident saxophone players.
