About Veena
A postgraduate in Geography with B.Ed. in Social Studies, I have a teaching experience of more than 39 years in the ICSE curriculum. I have been associated with the ICSE Council as Examiner since 1991 & Co-chief of Geography for the ICSE Board Examination, across the Andhra region and the twin cities, consecutively for 7 years, till March 2013. I have authored the textbooks of ICSE Geography for classes 6th to 10th, published by Goyal Brothers Prakashan. The 10th class textbook includes extensive sections on Map pointing and Toposheet, featuring 100 questions in each area. My educational videos on topographical survey sheets and Map pointing for the ICSE Syllabus are accessible on YouTube, also accessible through QR Codes in my 10th class textbook. I have also recently introduced ‘Teachers’ Resource Book for 6th to 10th class textbooks. I have actively and successfully conducted various workshops and events in Bangalore, Kanpur and twin cities, for ‘Geography at ICSE level’. I have also trained students for various National events like the ‘INCA Map Quiz’, having also won an award for a reputed school, in the ‘All India competition on ‘Safety for Schools’ conducted by NIDM – the National Disaster Management Authority of India’ in 2013. I am currently associated with various reputed ICSE & CBSE Schools as HOD (Geography) and Consultant, in Hyderabad.

She is a very experienced geography teacher as she is teaching in the same field since a long time. She has vast knowledge in Topographic Maps and can clear the doubts with ease. I highly recommend her to weak students who can be benefitted from her guidance as she was the co- chief of Council for many years and she is also the author of class 10 Geography Textbook of Goyal Brothers.
Maam teach the lesson very clearly and patiently. Children enjoy her class. Her approach towards children very friendly. Students like the way maam teaches especially topo sheet and map pointing . Overall maam is perfect.
