About Nxalati

My name is Vanessa a 25 year old permanent educator since 2019. I am eager to learn and instill knowledge in others around me, i love English and find it interesting to teach because it's one language we all use and It's such a great feeling when you see that spark of curiosity and interest. I enjoy teaching English because it's special – it gives students a voice. I show students that words are powerful things: they're the things that influence people, that instigate change in the world.

About the lesson

Speak Language with confidence. Get immediate feedback on your speech and pronunciation. When we learn our native language, first we listen, then we speak, then we read and finally we write. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are the four language skills we need to develop for complete communication.

Listening and reading are receptive: input, i.e. the exposure you have to authentic language in use. Speaking and writing are productive: output, i.e. the action of producing language as part of the process of second language learning.
