About Conrad
I am a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University, where I studied Engineering Science. I have spent 4+ years leading workshops, being a Teaching Assistant and creating curriculum. In addition, I have a year of private tutoring experience. I can help learners of all ages easily understand Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics concepts.
Some wins include helping a student increase their average Calculus exam scores by 10% and helping another student understand abstraction in AP Computer Science Principles.

I tutor math (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus), Computer Science (AP Computer Science Principles, JavaScript, Python), and Engineering (Engineering Economics)
When I begin working with a student, I find it helpful to ask them to explain some of the problems they have been struggling with in the relevant topic. I then ask follow-up questions to identify the specific area of misunderstanding so we can start from there. This allows us to prioritize and clarify the most confusing concepts. To ensure a student understands the material, I first model the concepts through an example. I then guide the student through solving some examples. Finally, I give the student some examples to solve independently.
I believe every student has the potential inside of them to make a real difference in the world. I am convinced that the purpose of teaching, and more broadly, education, is to draw out the potential from within - in every student.
