About Cara
I am a Human Biology and French major from the University of Virginia, and I will be heading to medical school this upcoming January! However, despite my pursuit of a career in science, writing has always been my passion. I have been involved in creative writing ever since childhood, brainstorming novels and writing short stories in my free time. I have always had an innate understanding of the English language because I was such an avid reader growing up, and curling up with a book is still one of my guilty pleasures.
I have been a tutor all through high school, college and beyond as well. I love teaching and passing on my knowledge to others, and plan to continue doing so in some capacity throughout my life. I can't wait to meet you and get started :)

I use an individual-based learning approach with my students, figuring out what method works best for them as opposed to applying the same strategy to everyone.
My lesson plans typically start with an overview of what my students would like to accomplish, whether that be a resume update, first or second drafts of an essay, or help with SAT/GRE reading section prep. Then I set out a general step by step plan to help them accomplish this goal within a given timeline.
