About Arshia
Hi, I’m Arshia — a Finance and Economics student at the University of Technology Sydney with a strong background in behavioral finance, economics, and academic mentoring. Alongside my studies, I work in research and financial analysis, where I focus on making complex ideas easier to understand and apply in real-world situations.
I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in subjects that can often feel overwhelming at first. My teaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s learning style, whether they need help strengthening fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, or preparing for assessments.
Beyond academics, I have experience leading educational and financial literacy initiatives, which has strengthened my communication skills and ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.
I value professionalism, patience, and consistency, and I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow in both confidence and ability over time.”

My approach is built around one principle: figure out where you're stuck, work out why, then drill it until similar questions stop tripping you up. I don't lecture. Sessions are run as working problems — past papers, real exam questions, mark schemes broken down line by line. For HSC and IB students, that means knowing exactly how examiners award marks: structure, evaluation, and real-world examples, not just memorizing definitions. For university students, I build intuition for the model first, then move into the math. Most people fail finance and econometrics because no one ever explained why the formula exists.
Lessons run 60 minutes by default. I offer 90-minute sessions for exam prep and essay writing, where you need the extra time to work through a full question and get feedback in the same sitting.
I'm a Finance and Economics student at UTS on a 25% Academic Excellence Scholarship, Yale Financial Markets certified, with coursework in Corporate Finance, Econometrics, and Business Data Analytics. Outside university, I've taught 50+ people through Project Arshia, a nonprofit running financial literacy workshops for women in India with zero prior finance background — so I'm comfortable teaching across very different starting points.
My lessons are designed for:
Year 11 and Year 12 students sitting HSC Economics or Business Studies
IB Economics students (SL and HL)
First- and second-year university students in Finance, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, or Econometrics
Anyone wanting practical financial literacy or Excel for finance
Typically ages 16–22, though motivated learners at any level are welcome
