About Lia
As a UTRGV Psychology major with a minor in Biology and an aspiring Physician Assistant, I understand that Anatomy can be challenging, especially when there is a lot of information to remember. My goal is to make learning Anatomy easier, more organized, and less overwhelming.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and personalized to each student’s learning style. I use simple explanations, diagrams, practice questions, and real-life examples to help students understand concepts instead of simply memorizing them. I also encourage students to ask questions and work through problems step by step.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous material and identifying areas that need more practice. We then focus on the main topic for the session, break down difficult concepts, and use visuals or examples to reinforce the material. We finish with practice questions and a quick review of what was learned.
What sets me apart is my personal experience as a college student studying Psychology and Biology while preparing for a career in healthcare. I understand the demands of college-level science courses and strive to create a comfortable environment where students can learn at their own pace.
My lessons are designed primarily for high school and college students taking Anatomy, Human Anatomy & Physiology, or introductory Biology courses. I am also happy to work with students who need additional support reviewing anatomy terminology, body systems, and course material.
