About Raul

Currently, I am a stay-at-home dad with two young children. My family and I like to go on trips and find good places to eat! I am an educator with over a decade of experience in K-12 and community college settings. In school, I studied English, Radio, Television and Film, and Education. I love getting to know students to best tailor the experience for them and creating inclusive spaces where students grow and thrive.

About the lesson

I have over a decade of experience teaching in K-12 and community college settings, helping students build confidence and master their skills. With a Bachelor’s in English and Media and a Master’s in Education (Reading & Literacy), I know how to break down complex concepts into clear, practical steps.

My approach is student-centered, blending emotional intelligence and culturally responsive teaching to create a supportive learning environment. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my method to fit individual needs, ensuring lessons are engaging, effective, and relevant. Whether you need help with reading, writing, reading comprehension, critical thinking, or media analysis, I can provide the tools and strategies to help you succeed.

Beyond just improving grades, I focus on building lifelong skills—whether it’s strengthening reading comprehension, sharpening analytical thinking, or boosting overall confidence in communication. My goal is not just to help you pass your courses or assignments, but to help you truly understand the material and feel empowered in your learning.
