As I am a new citizen of the United States, my professional experience spans out to the years that I have taught students in high school and college in my home country, Iran. I have spent the past 6 years of my life in America working with students at different tutoring centers. I have backgrounds in one-to-one tutoring, group tutoring sessions, and working as an instructor’s assistant in classes. When I am not at work, I expand and solidify my knowledge in math through pursuing my degree, and even then, my favorite part of the classes is when I get together with friends at the college library to work on the problems! I believe what has helped me to be most successful at tutoring is the fact that I have had a better understanding of what are the most effective teaching methods ever since I went back to school. Combining my years of experience as an instructor with my recent involvement in academia, this time as a student, I have gained newer perspectives on what can be most helpful in learning math and helping others along with us. In addition to my passion for math, my love for tutoring cultivates from my belief in the power of collaboration in learning. I truly believe that we become better learners by challenging our knowledge of the material by teaching it to others. Being a parent of a young girl in STEM has also enriched my desire to help other students reach their academic goals and overcome their obstacles. All of which makes tutoring math my professional ambition. I would be more than happy to provide my assistance with your academic questions and challenges. My goal and hope are to help you better believe in yourself and intellectual abilities alongside excelling in your coursework. If you need my help, just reach out and we will go through it together. Everyone is more capable than they give themselves credit to, and math, despite the unnecessary cliché, is truly a beautiful science.

I was Hamidreza's math professor for four different courses ranging from Calculus through Linear Algebra. He was an incredibly gifted student who developed a deep understanding of the concepts and an innate ability to explain them. I have no doubt he is an excellent Superprof!
Hamidreza was employed as a tutor at the Mathematics Center at Palomar College, where I had the opportunity to observe his outstanding work.
It is important to realize that working at the Mathematics Center is a challenging task. Math Center students comprise a very diverse group which includes all levels of academic ability in mathematics, along with a wide range of learning disabilities, and a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. In this environment, I was consistently impressed with Hamidreza’s work. As a tutor Hamidreza was knowledgeable, dependable, thorough, and showed initiative, responsibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm for helping students. I also observed Hamidreza to be patient, calm, and of pleasant demeanor. Additionally, Hamidreza was also assigned as an embedded tutor in the classroom. Reports from his students indicated that he expressed himself very well and that they made progress under his tutelage. Furthermore, whenever I had students with severe learning disabilities that my other Tutors could not do effectively Hamidreza was my last resource. I knew he would do a very effective job in assisting and tutoring them. He was therefore well-liked by his students – a reflection of the interest he took in them and his eagerness to see them succeed. Both faculty and staff were united in their appreciation for his contributions to the success of their students.
It is relevant to mention that Hamidreza went through my general and specific Tutor Training. As a result he received a CRLA Certificate. This training focused on how to be the most effective tutor by understanding and learning how to assist students with diverse cultural, academic, socioeconomic, gender identity, learning disabilities and physical disabilities, and different learning styles. Furthermore, he participated in the Cultural Simulation Game (Bafa Bafa). Through this simulation he experienced how to become more sensitive to the needs of our diverse student body at Palomar College.
Hamidreza is an intelligent and pleasant person, a fast learner, dedicated, and organized employee. He had a very positive attitude and pleasant interaction with the Math Center and Math Department faculty, staff and students. Additionally, he was very professional and involved in his job, yet personable, approachable and well-liked by students and everyone in the Math Department. On the whole, he was a valuable asset to the Math Center, Math Department and Palomar College. He has my highest recommendation.
