About Jane Elaine
I have extensive experience teaching elementary school, middle school, high school and first-year university students. I also have experience teaching adults in the Data Visualization Bootcamp at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Education. In my previous roles, I have extensive experience guiding my students in tackling mathematical and computer science problems as well as helping them hone their presentation and research skills. I am happy to help any student struggling with these subject matters!
I have worked as a Quantitative Analyst in both pension and banking companies. I am a UofT alumnus myself with a double major in Computer Science and Statistics and a minor in Economics.

I tailor my lesson according to the student's specific needs. I can either prepare a targeted lesson based on their current learning material or focus on addressing the specific challenges they are encountering. If the student is already proficient in the topic, I typically prepare a lesson that extends our discussions to more advanced levels.
In addition to the lessons, I usually offer extra practice to enhance their comprehension and mastery of the subject matter.

Perfect! Jane is very good at going over difficult problems and answering questions that weren't addressed in class. She is very patient and takes the time to make sure her students understand the material.
Perfect! Elaine is great! She has been helping me with a university-level statistics course, teaches at an appropriate pace and always ensures that I understand concepts before proceeding. I'm always confident in her ability to help me with my work.

I am newcomer to Canada and Jane has tutored my 12 year old son in English for a year. He did not know any English. Now he is more confident and he can read and speak better.
Jane is an amazing math tutor! My son was failing grade 11 math and after a semester of guidance he was able to able to score 83 for his final mark! We are very grateful for her services and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a math tutor!
My little brother has been taking math lessons with Jane and has seen noticeable improvement in his grades in middle school. It has not always been his strongest subject but he is now one of the top students in his class after 4 months including time over the summer break. I am writing this review in place of my mother.
Where do I even begin with Elaine. Ever since I’ve met her I have seen nothing short of the definition of hard-working and high achievement. She covers all criteria for being a great teacher and mentor and I could not recommend anyone better.

Middle school: $40/hr
High school: $45-50/hr
University: $60+
$20/hr for each additional student.
