About Amanda
I am Amanda Ooi, a first-going-on-second year Bachelor of Actuarial Studies student at UNSW. My ATAR in 2021 was 98.70. I believe my greatest strength as a tutor is my energy. I am always willing to go above and beyond in order to support my students in the best way possible. Another strength of mine would be my adaptability and determination. As a tutor, I am quite confident in adapting on the fly to different situations. Furthermore, my determination to push through setbacks will hopefully influence my students to do the same.

My approach to tutoring is spending 20 minutes reviewing the theory and explaining concepts. The rest of the lesson is allocated to going through questions from a selected textbook and exam style questions so I can help students link theory to application.
