About Taya
I am a violin tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Graduate Diploma in Violin Pedagogy. My lessons integrate music theory, aural skills, and sight reading into practical violin practice. I specialize in preparing students for music theory exams and advancing their understanding of harmony. Scales, intervals, and harmonic exercises are taught through bowing and fingering techniques. I work with exam candidates and students aiming to strengthen musical fluency. Lessons balance technical proficiency with theoretical understanding. Sight reading and ear training are emphasized to build confidence. I guide students in phrasing, dynamics, and expressive playing. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level and goals.
