About Karlin
When I was younger, I struggled with many of the same concepts that students face today. I understand firsthand the frustration that can come with challenging subjects. This experience has shaped my belief in the value of not just any tutor, but a patient tutor who takes the time to explain things clearly.
With my background in engineering and a Master's degree in Business Analytics, along with extensive experience tutoring students, I am here to help. I focus on understanding what concepts were missed and which areas need more attention. -For ACT prep, I review the last practice exam to identify missed questions and develop strategies for improvement.
2. Concept Clarification:
- I delve into specific topics that require further explanation, using relevant examples and visual aids to clarify misunderstandings.
3. Focused Practice Problems:
- Together, we work through targeted practice problems that address the identified gaps in knowledge, gradually increasing complexity as confidence builds.
4. Q&A and Wrap-Up:
- I address any lingering questions and summarize key points to reinforce understanding.
5. Homework Assignment:
- I assign relevant practice problems for independent work, encouraging students to review and reinforce what we covered in the session.
