About Marley
With a BM in Sacred Music (Piano/Organ) and 6 years of teaching experience, I enjoy helping students explore the full range of piano expression. My passion includes historical styles such as ragtime, stride, and early jazz. These genres bring energy, personality, and history into every lesson. I work with school-aged learners who enjoy lively, rhythmic music. I also support adults who want to experience authentic traditional piano playing. My lessons mix technique, listening skills, and pattern study. I guide students through left-hand patterns and stylistic phrasing. My teaching style is patient, clear, and supportive. I encourage steady practice and musical curiosity. Each student receives personalized steps toward improvement. I believe piano learning should be both meaningful and fun. My teaching approach encourages creativity while giving students the tools to structure their piano compositions. I focus on songwriting, composing melodies and harmonies, and developing recurring musical themes. I teach how to craft intros, outros, and connecting ideas effectively. I work with The Therapy Seeker and The Jazz Pianist to guide them toward original compositions. Students explore chord progressions, rhythmic ideas, and melodic development. Feedback is clear, practical, and encouraging. Lessons combine improvisation, theory, and composition exercises. I help students organize their ideas into complete and expressive pieces. Each session builds technical skill and artistic confidence. Students learn to turn inspiration into music they can play and refine. I provide step-by-step guidance at every stage. Together, we bring original piano compositions to life. You’ll leave each lesson closer to creating your musical legacy.
