About Dikshant
Hello! I’m Dikshant Randive, a dedicated and passionate history tutor with a deep love for teaching and history. I graduated with a BSc degree from Savitri Bai Phule Pune University, and I am currently preparing for the MPSC (Maharashtra Public Service Commission) exams. Critical Analysis: Rather than just recalling information, I emphasize the importance of analyzing historical events, understanding different perspectives, and recognizing cause-and-effect relationships. This approach builds a deeper comprehension of the material. 3. Active Participation: I encourage students to ask questions, share their thoughts, and debate ideas. This makes learning a two-way process and helps build confidence in their historical thinking. 4. Use of Primary Sources: I incorporate primary source materials like letters, diaries, and historical documents so that students can practice interpreting firsthand accounts of history, which builds essential analytical skills. Usual Structure of a Class: 1. Introduction (10-15 mins): I begin each class by reviewing the topic briefly, highlighting key themes and learning objectives. This sets the tone and focus for the lesson. 2. Main Content (20-30 mins): I present new material through storytelling, multimedia resources, or group activities. I may use case studies to highlight specific historical moments or figures. 3. Discussion and Analysis (15-20 mins): After the main content, we have an open discussion or a short debate on the key themes of the lesson. I encourage students to think critically about the motivations behind historical events. 4. Recap and Q&A (5-10 mins): I conclude with a quick review of the day’s key points, followed by a Q&A session to clarify any doubts.
