About Leilani
Welcome! I'm thrilled to embark on this language journey with you. As a final-year student at BYU, specializing in dual language immersion teaching, I bring both academic rigor and real-world experience to our sessions. Having aced the OPI with an Advanced Mid score, I'm not just passionate about teaching English and Spanish—I'm dedicated to ensuring your success.
But teaching isn't just about textbooks and grammar rules; it's about connection and creativity. When I'm not in the classroom, you'll often find me singing and dancing—two passions that infuse my teaching style with energy and joy.
My journey to Spanish fluency began during an 18-month mission in Richmond, Virginia. There, I immersed myself in the Latin community, teaching English and witnessing firsthand the transformative power of language in people's lives.
Now, I'm excited to share that passion with you. Whether you're just starting out or aiming for fluency, rest assured, you're in capable hands. Let's embark on this language adventure together and unlock new worlds through the power of communication!

Let's Dive In! As your tutor, I'm all about active engagement and real-life conversations. I flip lessons from the English Connect manual into Spanish to give you practical vocabulary and phrases. Rather than lectures, our sessions are filled with lively dialogue where you do most of the talking—I'm here to guide and support. Mistakes? They're just stepping stones to fluency! The faster we make them, the quicker you'll master Spanish. I'm big on practicality, so expect lessons packed with memorable, usable language. Between sessions, I'll set you up with extra practice and follow up on your progress whenever suits you best. Whether you're starting from scratch or fine-tuning your skills, let's make Spanish a natural part of your everyday!
