About Dorin
After finishing my A-levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics with A*A*A, I'm currently reading Mathematics at the University of Warwick, which means the syllabus, exam boards and pressure of results day are a fresh knowledge and experience, not something I remember from a decade ago. Tutoring started the same way it does for a lot of people, helping my friends when they are stuck on a topic or working through a past paper with them the night before an exam. That's the reason I still do it, getting satisfaction from watching someone understand something that previously felt impossible. I also love to train both in the gym and in endurance sports. That taught me that no one improves from one great session, progress comes from consistent and deliberate effort, which is exactly how I base my teaching.

The real gap between grades can be nailing the maths but losing marks on how you show it. I tutor GCSE and A level students and every plan is built around each student's consistent weaknesses, unlike the usual classroom style of a generic worksheet. I start explanations from the fundamentals rather than high level concepts. Having recently finished Maths and Further Maths with A*A*, I can now confidently take on new A-level students as I know both what the spec is testing and what the mark scheme rewards. Alongside this every GCSE student I have supported has achieved grades 7-9.
