About Ian
Hello! I am an international 2nd year student at the University of Toronto Scarborough Specializing in Co-op Molecular Biology and Biotechnology alongside a Biochemistry Major with a current cGPA of 4.0. In high school, I did International A-Levels and attained the best AS level grades in Kenya in 2023 and the best Biology A-Level grade in Kenya in 2024. I owe my successes to the amazing teachers that trained me and hope to relay that academic excellence to other students as well! Otherwise, I love playing chess and listening to music!

My technical but logical thinking translates to the systematic holistic teaching approach that I aim to employ as a tutor. Mathematics and the sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) are often leaned to cram or memorize which not only compromises understanding the subject matter but deprives the student of their potential to enjoy the intricacy of the systems that govern the world around them. In my lesson plans, I will use adaptable learning styles (from visual to experimental) alongside a more continuous content structure to create a holistic approach to tutoring mathematics and science.
