About Yiming
Hello! My name is Yiming, and I’m a native Mandarin speaker currently studying a Master of Teaching at the University of Sydney. I have a strong passion for education and language learning, and I’m committed to helping students succeed at their own pace. I am a native Mandarin speaker and currently studying for a Master of Teaching at the University of Sydney. My classes are tailored to suit the needs of each student, whether they are preparing for HSC Chinese (Beginners, Continuers or Background Speakers), IB Chinese, or simply learning Mandarin for fun or cultural connection.
I focus on building a solid foundation in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. My teaching combines engaging conversations, reading real-world texts, and helping students understand grammar through meaningful practice. For exam students, I also provide structured support with past paper practice, vocabulary building, and speaking fluency.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, but I can adjust the length based on the student's needs. I am patient, encouraging, and passionate about helping students build confidence in learning a second language. I welcome learners of all levels — from primary school students to adults.
