About Ridha
So about me... I am a dedicated and reliable IB graduate who's going into my first year of university. With my hopes of one day becoming a professor, I possess a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. I achieved a 98% in IB French SL in my final semester of high school and earned my DELF B2 certification, demonstrating my ability to communicate confidently and effectively in French.
Through my experience learning and using French, I have developed strong skills in grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and written expression. I am comfortable discussing a wide variety of topics in French (my personal favorite being films and traveling), which allows me to help students build their conversational skills and feel more natural when speaking. I can guide students through conversations, help them overcome awkward pauses, and teach strategies for keeping discussions flowing with confidence.
Paired with my extroversion, I can also maintain a sense of professionalism with my personalized approach to tutoring by preparing lessons that are adapted to each student's goals, level, and learning style. Whether a student wants to improve their grades, prepare for an exam, strengthen their speaking abilities, or become more comfortable using French in everyday situations, I am committed to providing patient, encouraging, and effective support.
Although I do only do my lessons online, I find it more beneficial as we have a lot more resources that way, and it's a lot easier for me to book you in for any time!

I know that learning a new language can sometimes feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and improve at their own pace.
My teaching approach focuses on developing all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I believe students learn best by actively using the language, so each lesson includes a mix of conversation practice, vocabulary building, grammar explanations, reading passages, and writing exercises. I adapt the pace and lesson structure to suit each student's learning style and experience. At the end of each lesson, I provide personalized feedback and suggestions for practice between sessions to help students continue improving.
I firmly believe that language building can be made fun, by implementing topics of conversation that are relevant to the student, not just the curriculum. If we discuss subjects that are more enjoyable for the student, I believe it will make the language itself more accessible, and fill them with motivation!
My lessons are ideal for elementary and high school students (up to approximately the B1/B2 level). I'm also happy to help students improve their speaking confidence, strengthen their grammar and writing skills, prepare for school assessments, or work toward DELF exam success.

I did French immersion all throughout elementary and middle school, yet I still struggled with French in high school. My teacher's teaching methods weren’t the best for how I learn, so I went to Ridha for help! She genuinely helped me understand almost a whole semester's worth of work in such a short period of time and helped me greatly!
