About Natalie

I am a student with an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Portuguese at The University of Birmingham. I currently study a Masters by Research on Sexuality and Gender Studies in Modern Languages. I have always been passionate about teaching and helping others and am prepared to teach children and teenagers of any age all the way up to A level. I completed a 15 week internship while on my semester abroad in Seville in 2018; I worked as a teaching assistant to adults learning English as a foreign language. I have also tutored Spanish to students of secondary school age. I tutor students in Birmingham but I am originally from Potters Bar in Hertfordshire, so tutor students in the surrounding area when I am back for the holidays. I am DBS checked and the main subjects I can help with are Spanish, Portuguese and English as a foreign language, but I can also help with English Language, English Literature, Maths, 11 plus, and History.

I have worked in the capacity of lecturer, project supervisor, dissertation supervisor and MA supervisor with Ms Connor since 2018. Over the last four years, I have thus witnessed the many ways in which Ms Connor has evolved from an applied student to a promising early career researcher always delivering deep, critical and committed work.

Aside from her growing experience in tutoring that speaks for itself, I can certainly attest to Ms Connor's commitment to her work, her punctuality, and the degree of clarity with which she can convey complex thoughts and ideas to non-specialists public.

Ms Connor has also an excellent track record in her language learning and use, achieved during her studies in Modern Languages. With her linguistic skills, her critical understanding of language, register, multilingualism and deep knowledge of other cultures embedded in Europe, the Americas and Africa, I am confident that Ms Connor will be excellent at this site.
