About Joaquim
I'm a university student studying pure mathematics in Montreal, Canada. And, as a curious person who hates taking facts for granted, I've always looked for evidence to support what others simply believed without question. The result being that, since high school, I've often had to tutor myself to satisfy the itch of curiosity school rarely could. Now, I'd like to offer the same joy of learning to students who, like me, are bored of taking mysterious "facts" for granted, which are then forgotten the moment the exam is finished!

My lessons (K-12 & Undergrad) avoid tedious repetition and memorization. Instead, I focus on UNDERSTANDING ideas from their logical building blocks.
Math, like history, is dead when written down as a bunch of facts in old textbooks. I try to revive it by taking you on the same journey of discovery as when it was first found.
By appreciating WHY the math is true and WHERE it came from, unlike you learned in school, things will finally fit together and make sense! Indeed, math can even be fun and fascinating in a way it's seldom taught to be.
