About Charlotte
I've always had a passion for Mathematics but needed a helping hand to unlock my full potential. Whilst doing GCSE and A-level Maths I had a tutor, this exceptionally improved my confidence and helped me achieve my grades. I would love to help you do the same!
I am currently studying Psychology and Education at Southampton University; Becoming a tutor is the first step to achieving my dream of becoming a great teacher!
Having previously had a tutor myself, I know first hand the benefits of a good one. During my studies, I struggled with confidence that I could do the course. My tutor helped me overcome this by breaking questions down into manageable chunks and looking at the question in a different way, which made me realise I could complete it if I looked at it carefully instead of immediately feeling that "I couldn't do it".

What I found worked best for me, was breaking down exactly what I was struggling with, identifying the skills the questions needed me to use and then carrying out systematic steps, identifying any causes of confusion as I went along. When doing both GCSE and A-Level Maths, I found doing exam questions to be the key to understanding any problems, as practice is the most important technique. I think starting the session with a question relating to a previous lesson's topic is so important to nailing it. As well as this, I found it useful to do exam questions on my own to fully understand a topic, I am happy to provide these each week.
The length of lessons will be from 1 hour to 2 hours depending on what you would like!
My lessons are for anyone studying GCSE maths or KS3 maths and below!
