About Nobuhle
I am a university student, studying at Nelson Mandela University, I have been an online English tutor for a few months, starting from January 2019. I have been mostly tutoring non-English speaking students online. In ny spare time I provide lessons for high school students who struggle with literature and public speaking.

About the lesson

My lessons are usually in 5 parts.
1- the objective of the lesson, what are we aiming to have learned by the end of this lesson.
2- warm up. This is where I spend some time getting to know my students, and finding out the best way to teach them and the best way to encourage learning for them because each student is different.
3- Presentation. This is where the actual lesson starts. This is where the teaching begins, I introduce my lesson, and explain the material I plan to teach.
4- Practice. This is the time where I let my students reflect on the lesson and attempt some basic questions and examples based on the material introduced in the lesson.
5- Assessment. This is where the actual learning occurs. I would provide "unseen" examples and questions so that the students can attempt by themselves and this is where I observe and assess the student's progress and perhaps repeat or reiterate any information the students might have missed or might not understand.
Essentially my lessons are all about the student, what works best for them and what will make them succeed.
