About Yan Cheng
Hi, I am Yan Cheng, currently an undergraduate student majoring in engineering. I got A+ in SPM Mathematics and scored 4.0 GPA in advanced Calculus classes. I did not score A+ in Mathematics by memorizing the subject, instead, I chose to understand it. And it has been working for me! Since I have learned to understand Mathematics, this subject has never been a concern to me. I have been scoring straight As in mathematics related subject without having to study before the exam at all. This may not be your experience now but what if I told you that you can have the same experience as me? How would you feel if you don't have to worry about mathematics examinations anymore? My approach of teaching mathematics is by using examples, real life applications and understanding of the formulas' origin to make sure students understand mathematics by heart and not by memory. Topic by topic in depth explanation for students to fully grasp each topic. Notes, past year papers and exercises are provided for students' revision. Typically my classes are about one or two hours per week, adjustable based on students' progress. My qualifications in mathematics include A+ in SPM Mathematics, and 4.0 GPA in advanced Calculus classes. My lessons are for students who wants to be interested in mathematics and would like to know how to get A+ in SPM Mathematics easily by understanding mathematics. Students from Form 3 to Form 5 are welcomed.
